Brooks Brothers Black Fleece by Thom Brown opened up on Bleecker Street.
Neat.

There's other places than Bergdorf Goodman that whip toghether a nice window from time to time..
The comb thing was...wierd?
Is it the aftermath of a nuclear explosion they had in mind with that burnt shadowy effect?
Spooky yet cool.
"Spool"?

My brother got married today!!
Congrats and all that, you're a smokin' couple!

But the best part had to be the sign outside the room reserved for the ceremony. (This is Town Hall, not a church)

It basically reads:
"ENTRANCE WEDDING ROOM"
"NO THROWING CONFETTI OR RICE ON PREMISES"

I'm gonna post a sign next to it that says:
"ENTRANCE TO THE GLOOMY WORLD OF MARRIED LIFE. GET USED TO IT"

This sign might as well be the end of the world as we know it.
Or just very Swedish.

I'm moving.

Right now I can't stop listening to "Paris", by Friendly Fires.
Coldplay smokes crack with Glasvegas and finds an old Yamaha DX7..
Hit that Bossa button!

When everything else they do is completely sleek and beatiful, why would the pre-fab house be any different.
Someday, I wanna live in a MUJI house too.

Fantastic fantastic fantastic!
Paula Rubensteins store never let's me down.
With a little bit of luck, this painting will be seen in the new Gant project store opening in PUB, Stockholm, end of march.
Or, in my living room, if I can spend 4500 Dolares on a painting.
Have to check this with the wife department first I think.

(Note to self, sell / swap one of the kids for the painting)

Irma tries on the new ltd edition specs from J Crew's Liquor store..

Nice tuxedo slippers from Rugby!
Will do nicely with rolled up chinos and a polka dot silk scarf come spring in the hamptons.
Ka - ching!

Thom Browne for Moncler's Gamme Bleu..
The jackets are fantastic, the scarves even better. And as always with Thom, there are some really strange things that works better at a Cirque Du Soleil show than in a ski slope..
Nevertheless, well done Mr Browne.

Vintage fencing helmet and vintage skateboard. Good combo!

I know I tend to repeat myself, both when it comes to topics and contents.
Anyway, here's some more fantastic scribbled grafitti from Freeman Alley, NYC.
Wouldn't it be great if it was the same dude (or dudette) who was behind them all?
Like a modern take on Basquiat, but with a sense of humor, certainly less gloomy, and way more fun than Banksy.

I bet the guys from Freeman Sporting Club are behind it, it's way to cool to be ad hoc.

Tuesday's "Toast Pelle Jansson" day.
Eggs benedict over cold smoked salmon with homemade (from scratch of course) sauce hollandaise for the wife.
(I should be voted best husband in the known universe)

Toast Pelle Jansson:
Grade A beef tournedous hammered out (carpaccio thin), placed on a white toast.
A spoon of sour cream. (or gräddfil)
2 spoons caviar
1 raw eggyolk
Finely chopped chives / leek and red onions.
Fold the carpaccio beef over the filling, squeeze some fresh lemon & top off with parmesan shavings.
Season with black pepper and seasalt.

You're allowd to crack open a cold beer while cooking and at least one more while eating, this is a hefty meal.

Burp loudly, have a smoke on the balcony and then go to bed knowing that you can whip together a pretty fucking awesome sandwich.

Once again, I rule.

I've been on a quest the last 2-3 years, to re-build our vintage archives. When I started there was very little interest in our heritage and vintage items of any kind. Me being a total nerd when it comes to these things slowly understood what a fantastic history we have and started buying stuff, on ebay and in different stores in NYC.
During spring09, we will open up an "exprimental store" in stockholm, it will look far from our normal stores. We also plan on selling some vintage shirts, dating from mid 50's to late 70's. Keep an eye open!

This is Daniela Kamiliotis office. She's the creative director for Ralp Laurens womens collection and a costume designer.
(Kind of obvious thinking of how RL's womens collection look, it's very dramatic and very "movie-ish" often with very strong themes around a certain era or epoque, it is equally wonderful.)

My office looks nothing like this..
