Aren't some days just way better than others? Today was certainly one of those days. I started out having a boardmeeting in our NYC office which was very inspiring (I thought boardmeetings where suppose to be booring?). Then I headed over to bergdorf goodman, found out the entire place was like 50 % off. Bought 3 (?) black bowties from Thom Browne, a 2009 calender in calfskin and ended up discussing Michael Bastians cruise collection with Mr Tommy Hilfiger himself who was also admiring Mr Bastians latest creations.
Coming out of Bergdorf I run into Scott Schuman (with whom I had dinner yesterday) and went from there to J.Press trying to find that patchwork scarf for Ted. (they where sold out, sorry man..)
I'm going to top this day off with having dinner at Todd English's new place The Libertine down on Platt street.

The missing link, the catalyst in Heroes?
My godson Harry apparently has superpowers, and knowing his dad (my older brother) Harry might very well end up a mix of Harvey Weinstein and Ari Gold, but with foreskin I guess.
No matter what, Harry's future is so bright he's gotta wear shades.
(Except I will have to keep a very close eye on how my brother will dress him...)

Ah, fine knitted elongated cardigans, can't wait for spring.
Also can't wait to grow another 3 inches and loose about 15 lbs so I could actually wear these type of garments..
"I wish I was a little bit taller, wish I was a (skinny) baller..."
Late lunch (by my self, again) at "I Tre Merli" on west broadway & Houston.
I was the only patron in the entire restaurant, recess is here, big time.
During spring, make a stop & order the Penne a la vodka, a glass of chianti, soak up the sun and watch the people passing by.
(Then head back to what comes around goes around and have one more look. Shopping slightly tipsy is the new black)

I finally went to Waverly Inn the other week in NYC.
As I was in the city on my own (for the first time in years) I first went to Pastis and gobbled down about 12 fin de claire with 3 glasses of chardonnay, taking notes and going through the days meetings.
(Scott Schuman, a fantastic factory in Jersey and a vintage dealer)
Since I was jetlagged out of my mind and needed to stay awake to at least 11 not to fuck up the entire week, I opted for Waverly instead of crashing into that divine bed at the Maritime. The place was crowded but cozy, and the atmosphere was defintely what I expected. Table booked for next trip in January! (when I'll be paying a debt to Scott for some great ideas, the champagne will be on me)
